The sounds of nature will help you everywhere you engage with the elements around you. If your emotions, mind, body and/or soul, are creating some internal and external turbulence, take a few minutes and go outside and lay on the earth (for 10 to 20 minutes). If this is not possible, turn on some nature sounds and be with them until you feel the ever present calm that Mother Nature abides us with.
During, this Bali Adventure I will be serving all the guests twice daily with sound that is specially orchestrated to support your journey, retreat, vision quest and connect you deeper with Mother Nature. For those that cannot join US…You can receive sound and Mother Earth from me anywhere in the world. I have the ability to access the earth and you remotely and send the sound waves and energy to you via the earth and telephone connection.
Making daily offerings in many cultures is a selfless and conscious practice that carries much more energy than an on looker can see. In Bali, the canang sari is a woven basket filled with a decorative collection of brightly colored offerings. Each piece is selected with significance and has meaning. The treasures are connected to Hindu Gods and the directions. This simple, powerful offering become the action that is reaffirming your selflessness with the unseen and seen world around you. The unseen support life in a very mysterious and divine way.
A typical Balinese family makes a minimum of 15 offerings per day. In addition, making offerings for the temple and special times of the year. These offerings last for one day and contain food to feed animals.
The essence is what lifts the offering to the unseen world…suarga(heaven), where the gods reside, the world of man (buwah), and where the demons reside hell (Bhur). The offerings ultimately serve all three realms. Ultimately, this ritual helps the Balinese to maintain balance and harmony in their personal lives, community and the world. Which assists one to generate inner peace and balance.
Many tourists in Bali love the Balinese people and the energy they cultivate by meeting this selfless act. During our time together in Bali, we will be making offerings daily.
Being from an Island Nation, Hawaii, and an eternal being that still calls for India, I have always felt very comfortable in a sarong. It reminds me of the tropical weather that welcomes you to be comfortable in beautiful textiles that breathe and allow you to move freely. In addition, there is a certain simplicity and harmony that is felt with nature. Finally, the sarong provides a layer of respect in holy places.
In Bali, the Kamben (sarong) are required to be worn into temples. The cloth is used to cover the lower part of your body; and is tied around the waist and falls just below the knees. For men, it is tradition for the sarong to be wrapped from left to right symbolizing the good (dharma). In addition, the men’s kamben cover the legs down to the ankle. The women wear the sarong from the right to the left, a symbol the women are saktis (they hold the creative power of divine feminine), which keeps the men balanced.
In Bali, you will have the opportunity to wear a sarong, if you so do choose. You might be surprised at the freedom, reverence and purity the ripples up in and around you.

Love + Joy
How one takes care of ‘self’ is reflected in the state of being retained in the mind, heart, body and soul. It takes effort to make daily choices to maintain well being. This is why seasonal cleansing, daily self care, and regular attendance to spiritual retreats/vision quests have always been a simple way to proactively stay in harmony with self, humanity and Mother Earth.
In Ayurveda and India, bathing by represents a cleansing not only of the physical body but also of the spiritual being. In fact throughout Asia, the floral bath is a ritual for beauty, good fortune, to dispel bad luck, and revive the mind, body, heart & soul. In Ayurvedic texts, bathing is noted to improve sleep, sensuality, life span and enthusiasm.
Sounds from the Island Nation of Bali. “In Bali, Gamelan refers to both the traditional music made with a gamelan ensemble and the musical instrument used to play the music. A Gamelan consists of percussion, metallophones, and traditional drums. It is mostly made from bronze, copper, and bamboo. The variations are due to the number of instruments used.
Gamelans played in Bali include the gamelan aklung, a four-tone instrument, and the gamelan bebonangan, a larger gamelan often played in processions. Most of the individual instrument are similar to those found in Javanese gamelans. Unique Balinese instrument include gangas (similar to Javanese gendèr except the are struck with bare wooden mallets) and reogs (knobbed gongs played by four men). CycleLife…Beauty & Strength
We live in a world where everyone is encouraged to celebrate and create an image that is rooted in the visual image that conveys a story we want to tell. Many people are plagued with the compulsion of photographing ‘self’; until, they get the perfect picture to reflect that tale they want to tell. In addition, some individuals alter their image so many times that it no longer looks like who they are in the physical world. The habit to create an imaginary image of self can start innocently enough; yet, it can lead one into a state of delusion and preoccupation with the future. Rather than authentically sharing what is in the present moment and engaging in that moment at hand. In addition, as Gaston points out in the quote above, “..Are you more aware of your beauty than your strength?”
Which creates the initial core distinction between true beauty and innate strengths and a persona that is fabricated. This is not to say that beauty does not serve a purpose because it does.
