All “balancing” is achieved through psycho-spiritual transformation. Collectively, human consciousness is transitioning into a ‘well world’. Until, we have fully tipped into this calibrated state of being, you can start to practice proactive ‘well being’ from your heart center.
The primary focus is balancing JOY.
In Chinese Medicine, the spirit of fire, Shen, governs the heart. It is important to remember, the heart, is your access point between the ‘divine’ unseen fields that support your relationship to self and the world around you. As I have mentioned, the heart center is often where you store immediate and residual suffering that expresses itself through your physical+emotional+spiritual heart. If you choose to avoid resolving and making peace with your suffering, you will hold it in your heart. Eventually, the stored pain will create an imbalance in your physical, mental, spiritual and/or emotional bodies. Furthermore, there is a high probability you will project your suffering onto another person, place and/or thing. You might say, ‘That is not fair’ or ‘I do not want to do that.’ Well, both are valuable awarenesses. If you do not want to participate in the suffering heart exchange game, you can make a conscious decision to clear out your suffering and properly transmute it into something productive and beneficial for self and others. The most difficult part of these practices will be your willingness to let go of your attachment to the pain you endured.
What does it look like when you have an imbalance in the heart, well this is unique to you; however, there are some general signs. I mentioned these last week. Shared below here:
“First, I want to encourage you to contemplate what the word, joy, means to you and evaluate where and how you engage this emotion in your daily life? Is JOY balanced or is it absent or excessive within you? From there, I would love for you to observe if you have fits of laugher, easily excited or manic moments. Alternatively, are you just numb. Just observe it.Write down what you observe. I will share more about what this means next week.”
Too MUCH: If you have manic emotional energy, hyper vigilant with the environments you enter, sudden swings and emotional dis-regulation , this is a sign of an imbalance and stored suffering.
Too Little: If you are numb this is also a sign that your suffering is still with you and you’re expressing it by shielding your heart center from feeling and/or chancing enduring or participating in additional suffering. This can create a sense of not feeling anything and/or feeling like you are in quick sand.
The Middle Way. This is where our collective consciousness is headed. However, it is a practice to remain here. I gently remind all of you and myself, this is something you want to authentically embody and will need to practice in every moment. Faking it till you make it, will lead you to bypassing the purification of your suffering.
Ultimately, taking time daily to sit with your heart center will create an opportunity for you to know thy self. This is a very humbling and rewarding process. There is no fast track. I am actually riveted by my own inner understandings and amazed as I discover more. Simultaneously, I am humbled. I am equally in ahh of my clients and studentswhen they start to remember and balance from within.
If you are ready to bring yourself into harmony with your heart, you can start by continuing to observe where your heart is at daily.
Is your heart serving as a conscious communicator from within to the outside world and back to you again?
Does the reciprocation with self feel joyful, kind and peaceful?
Then, observe how often you are here.
If you are stuck in the weeds or feel like you are on a wild carnival ride, take a deep breath and ask yourself,
‘Are you ready to move back to center?’
If that answer is, ‘yes’. Fantastic. and if it is, ‘no’ that is okay. However, I encourage you to write me here and tell me why your answer is, no. I feel, I can shed some light on you and possibly give you a few tools to encourage you to find your authentic, YES!
Next, here are a few simple tools you can practice daily to help with your heart balancing rolling back to your center. Choose one that jumps out to you. Start there or integrate one that you have not tried. All are equally important.
Take time daily to BE. Just BE. Set your timer for 5 to 8 minutes. Just BE. (aka sit and stare) DO Nothing.
Respect. Daily practice being respectful to yourself. (i.e. respectful thoughts, words and actions for and with yourself)
Inspiration. Daily engage with things that inspire you. (ie. if you love to make music do this, if you like to read do this and so on)
Detach. Let go of one thing you have been grasping at internally. Then, Reengage. with one thing that you have let fall away. This could be as simple as stop obsessing about where you should be in life and reengaging with taking action towards where you want to be in your life.
Giving. Practice Receiving and Giving Daily. Random acts of Kindness. Receive with a open and willing heart.
Empathy. Practice cultivating empathy for yourself and others. That suffering you have stored is partially still there because you have not had compassion, empathy and forgiveness for self and potentially others. Daily, practice empathizing with yourself and this will naturally help you empathize with others. This does not mean have a pitty party. It means acknowledging your pain and being willing to reflect back to yourself you care about yourself. This will help you revitalize self awareness and respect.
Savor. Pick one thing to savor on a daily basis. Show up and have presence with it..savor it. IN JOY!
Let me know how it goes, I care. I would love to hear from you.
Mental Health Food. Hands down the best medicine for your mental health is to move your body. In turn, this will also help your physical, emotional and spiritual bodies. They are all connected. Fortunately, there are so many ways to move our body. What a blessing you have the free will to choose what resonates with you. As inspired, get moving.
