  • Tom Yum Kai

Tom Yum Kai (also known as Tom Yum Gai) is a vibrant, aromatic Thai hot and sour chicken soup that bursts with bold flavors: tangy lime, fiery chilies, fragrant lemongrass, galangal, and kaffir lime leaves. This clear broth-based soup features tender chicken pieces, mushrooms, and fresh herbs, delivering a perfect balance of spicy, sour, salty, and subtly sweet notes. This is one of my favorite soups, especially in the colder months. It is a true testament to the infamous quote, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food” by Hippocrates.
