Move That Body. Dance.

by admin February 23, 2026

Get Mov’IN… I have fond memories from when I was a young girl learning formal dance to modern dance. The tradition and practice of getting dressed up and dancing was always something I looked forward to. Similar to many traditions from around the world these dances are the way to communicate, engage with your community and express yourself with your body, heart and music. Moving your physical being is a simple way to nourish all aspects of yourself.

As inspired…Get Mov’IN! During winter and summer this is an ideal time to move your body with the simple daily practice of dance. Adjusting the speed, intensity and mood based on where you are at in this moment. You will increase dopamine, oxytocin, endorphins, endocannabinoids and norepinephrine. Gaba and Serotonin will kick in after you leave the dance floor. All of these happy chemicals well. Coupled with a great way to shift the energy at family and friend gatherings.

Move Your Body! LOW-FREQUENCY AMPLITUDE AND SYNCOPATION INCREASE GROOVE PERCEPTION IN HOUSE MUSIC

“In conclusion, our study shows that higher LFA and syncopation of basslines in house music increase the urge to dance. Furthermore, perceived groove showed significant positive associations with a prefer- ence for energetic and rhythmic music styles, a gen- eral desire to dance, and an emotional connection to music. We conclude that the interplay of highly syn- copated basslines, accompanied by a steady, low- syncopated rhythmic foundation not only maintains but enhances the sensation of groove, especially in people who enjoy dancing to music, thereby high- lighting the close yet often understudied connection between music and dance.” (Read More Here)

“Key Research Findings:

  • Bio-Rhythms & Hormones: Studies show low frequencies and syncopation in house music enhance groove, leading to more movement. This physical and auditory engagement reduces cortisol (stress hormone) and boosts endorphins/dopamine, factors linked to slower aging.

  • Aging Markers: A large-scale analysis of brain scans and genetic data found listening to music in the 120-130 BPM range (common in house) correlated with lower cortisol and slower biological aging, potentially by years.

    (Musical Medicine Read More)

  • Social & Movement: Consistent dancing and social connection, as seen in nightlife studies, contribute to lower stress markers and improved cardiovascular function, mimicking rhythmic therapy.

How it Relates to Aging

  • Stress Reduction: By lowering cortisol, house music and dancing combat a key driver of accelerated aging.

  • Dopamine Release: The “build-up and drop” of house music triggers dopamine, enhancing mood and motivation, which supports well-being.

  • Physical Engagement: The rhythmic movement acts like light cardio, improving heart health and overall resilience.;

In essence, UCL and related research highlight that the combination of rhythmic, energetic house music and sustained dancing creates a powerful, pleasurable experience that positively influences our biology, potentially slowing down age-related decline by reducing stress and boosting positive neurochemicals.” Sean-Lee Duncan and Guido Orgs Coupled with all the sweating and close relational spaces when rocking to that beat create an echosystem to let it all wind out.

As inspired, rock that body to that house beat.

Heart + Mind Food

Life has a gentle (and sometimes sudden) way of reminding us how precious our connections truly are.

This winter began with the unexpected passing of my dear friend, Molly Hall, a loyal, quick-witted, deeply ethical soul who held space for so many with unwavering compassion. She went above and beyond for those around her, cared profoundly, and brought light wherever she went. Her presence was a true gift, and her absence is felt deeply.

While grief comes in waves, these salty tears are a quiet ode to the love and admiration I have for her. One never knows when a shared laugh, conversation, or moment will be the last in this form.

Molly, thank you for the joy, wisdom, and heart you shared so freely. May you carry on with freedom, peace, and that radiant spirit.

To all of us here: Let’s cherish each moment fully…laugh more, love deeper, and show up for one another with open hearts. Life is fleeting, but the impact we leave on each other endures.

Carrying her in my heart with gratitude and aloha. Cheers to you Miss Molly. May you cross paths with Brian Tenzin who departed two days after you. He is filled with an infectious heart and gift for inspiring play. I introduce Brian here and have much more to share about how we met and how profound it is these two are walking the middle ground togethere. I will save that for another day this winter season.

I know many are transitioning right now. For all of you trying to navigate the emotions of personal loss and global loss my heart goes out to each of you. I pray and vision daily for a world free of suffering. As inspired, I encourage you to connect to the purist form of your spiritual (or faith) practice, nature and/or that which guides your highest expression. Then, offer Silence (silent meditation) and prayer to those who have transitioned. This is a simple and scared way you can serve those who transition. Rather than pray with sorrow, lift them up with love and the memories of JOY they experienced with you. This practice will support your and their heart, mind, body and soul.

Body Food

Music is food for your body. Just like the food we feed ourselves…ONE SIZE does not fit all. Yet, you have been touched by the gift of music. It will resonate with each of you differently and serve you in the same way. Uniquely and mysteriously. Which is why I am choosing to shine a light on this musical muse.

One of the ways to restore well-being is to create something you have always dreamed of. This simple act can fill up your entire state of being, counter balancing the parts of your life that drain your energy. Creative expression also serves as a catalyst, transforming and transmuting many facets of your life and state of being. It becomes a vehicle for liberation, freeing and transcending what is ready to be released.

Cadre Scott has been on a pilgrimage with her innate gifts as a songwriter and vocalist. She’s also embraced a few stringed instruments that have become more than a vehicle to making music. Her new album, Higher, perfectly captures an artist holding steadfast to her vision: a poetic vibe and groovy bed of music that transports listeners back to the 1970s era that many still crave. She is a true throwback and prefers the terrestrial aspects of life.

Inspired by the experience, when she recorded in Nashville two singles, River and Fields of Flowers. She knew she could bring her next production to Los Angeles.

Her ambitions goal? Creating the new album in two days with a live band. It was well thought out and she held steadfast to her heart-mind vision. Human made. NO AI. NO autotune. Real Instruments.

The result exceeded expectations, Cadre Scott is over the moon with the outcome and shared the full album LIVE later at Vine LB in Long Beach, California, January 30, 2026.

Revered by ancient royals and Taoist practitioners alike, Tremella fuciformis is famed as ‘the beauty mushroom’ for its ability to deeply hydrate tissue, preserve skin health, and promote healing. Celebrated in Chinese medicine for its skin-enhancing properties, it supports a luminous, youthful complexion.

Tremella also promotes digestive (gut) and lung health, helping to soothe dryness from within, highlighting the vital connection between internal harmony, moisture retention, and radiant, long-lasting beauty.

In today’s beauty industry, Tremella is an increasingly popular natural alternative to hyaluronic acid and collagen, offering a more holistic array of similar benefits. Glucuronic acid residues in Tremella’s polysaccharides are hydrophilic – they bind and hold water molecules. This gives the Tremella mushroom extract a high water-retention capacity, holding several times its weight in water, and promoting softer, smoother, and more supple skin. Glucuronic acid is part of a complex polysaccharide matrix that is considered a contributor to antioxidant and barrier-protective effects on skin.

Delicious and moreish, Tremella delivers these benefits via a sweet and creamy taste profile that shines in cooking and mixology. It is also an underrated, nutrient-rich addition to cosmetics, topical creams and masks.

Whether you’re refining your daily rituals or seeking out your most authentic aesthetic potential – Tremella helps you cultivate beauty from the inside out.
