Earlier this week…Late Summer Mexicana Italiano Nachos Worlda Merge. This was so good, i wanted to drink the sauce blended into the bruschetta inspired layer ik this dish. I will paste this recipe on my site and the substack this week.

Simply put. Layered like this. Corn chips, burrata, bruschetta base blended with chili verde tomotillo sauce, fresh black beans, lime and cilantro.

Receiving + Giving. Yin Matters. Late SUMmer arrives with this NEW Moon. A moment to find a most certain calm and lay to rest any and all ‘worry’. It is that sweet spot when our collective energy is held in the YIN across the earth plane. In the Southern Hemisphere, our brothers and sisters remain in the YIN (feminine energy). The ‘waters’ are preparing for their first thaw before those abiding on the South Side step back into the masculine energy (yang).

Here in the Northern Hemisphere, we are gently transitioning into the earth energy with this incoming lunar cycle. Therefore, placing the entire world system in the feminine energy, mother energy. This happens twice a year, once in each hemisphere. You might ask, ‘What does this mean?’ It means, you are offered the opportunity to PAUSE, Ground and Evaluate what can be subtracted from your inner landscape (the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual bodies). The key is to look for those aspects within yourself that generates ‘worry and/or self doubt’. This is what stops your Qi, vital energy, from flowing fluidly through your entire system. This impacts your ability to receive. . . create and give. If you are pushing, pulling, resisting and/or attaching your conditions onto the power of creation, your vitality will quickly diminish from the inside out.

Fennel. I adore fennel and use her consistently in my kitchen. I often blend fennel in custom spice blends I create for my clients. The reason for this is because it is over arching gentle (yet the flavor is not relished by all). Fennel like Myrtle will calm you down.

Something to try, If you feel a little uncomfortable after a meal, heat up some water and steep for 3-5 minutes about 1/4-1/2 tsp of dried fennel. Then, sip slowly. You can even chew on the seeds. Stay with the warm water and fennel until you feel calm and clear.

UPdate: It is still summer. In fact, at the next NEW moon we will be entering into late Summer. It is this amazing sweet spot where we can ground into the earth’s energy coupled with doing a little inner work on rebuilding inner trust with ourselves. This directly relates to the crops that are still growing in your era. I also want to remind you nature can extend and lengthen a season for many reasons.

If inspired, rather than follow the bankers calendar, start following the signals from nature as it relates to where your live.

During these remaining months/weeks of Summer, you might want you to keep the oven off and/or go out for a meal. This effort will assist keeping your heat down and assist in supporting the local economies.

Alternatively, you can make simple meals with the abundant stash of zucchini, tomatoes and more still overflowing in the garden. The watery fruits and veggies can be cooked rapidly and served cool or at room temperature. Then, you can meander outside and sit under a tree and eat with a cool breeze.
