Inner Work. Go For It.
I often share with my clients and those close to me that “I am Absolutely Work in Progress”. I, too, ride the waves of life. I am in it just like the rest of humanity. Yet, I have a personal goal to keep transforming, and evolving. Furthermore, I want to master riding the tides of life with harmony and peace. I practice and I am focused on learning how to drop in and ride every wave that life gives me with grace.
The inner work is liberating, humbling and deeply personal. During this time of year, many of you might feel alone, grief and/or vulnerable. If inspired you might decide to tap into the the possibility within these emotions, situations, memories and internal experiences. It is right there within the disharmony, the pain and/or fear…the ease is just on the other side of that energy you might feel in your mind, heart, body and/or soul. The freedom rests right there…beyond that threshold. The simple way to move with the dis’ease’ and liberate the uncomfortable is to be of service to life.
I was reflecting on this poem by Mother Theresa that I included in my book, Bare Naked Bliss, (page 176). The inspiration to share this poem was something Dr. Wayne W. Dyer shared in one of his lectures. He and Mother Theresa both seemed to encourage everyone to go for it anyways. My encouragement in Bare Naked Bliss: Loving from Within is to identify how you can serve with your gifts “anyway”. It is my deepest knowing from my own trial and errors that if I am not in service to life (not as a martyr but as a genuine act of service) life can be unforgiving. Ultimately, the grasping for sense pleasures, material gain and to satiate the ego will increase. In addition, when on is not in service to at least one aspect of living, one will move further away from becoming self-reliant and retaining harmony with self and the world at large. In the end, when you are inspired to be in service to life, you will experience how the momentum of service will continue to provide you with more to give anyway. The energy of authentic service will always leave lasting ripple effects.
As inspired, here is the poem for your contemplation and inner reflection.
