A little more about the Solar Plexus and the Sound of RAM.
Third chakra meditation activates and opens your power chakra. First, this energy center is called the manipura chakra (the city of jewels), it is the seat of your identity and connects you to your will and destiny. Second, fire is the element, which helps us digest food, thoughts and emotions. Third, the energy of fire helps us with transformation. The inner fire helps you transform your inner world which transforms your outer world. Fourth, the color associated with this region of the body is yellow. If this area is blocked you might be experiencing low self-esteem, hyper-sensitivity to the world around you. Furthermore, you might suffer from fear and anxiety. These conditions can immobilize you and your life. Fifth, an over active solar plexus will lead you into a more self-centered way of living and being. Finally, all of which can impact the physical body with hypertension, insomnia, ulcers, digestive disharmony, sluggishness, poor appetite, fatigue and weakness.
The seed sound or mantra of the Fire element is RAM (pronounced as rum). Chanting this mantra helps activate the chakra. You can simply repeat this sound over and over and hold your awareness at your solar plexus. The vibrational frequency of the sound will help bring the region into harmony. An additional way to support your entire state of well being. In addition, you can practice sun gazing. Solar Qigong.
Practice Presence. A regular, meditation practice will assist you in cultivating inner peace and presence. One of the side effects of meditation is presence in everyday life. By taking time daily to meet yourself in silence, you will find stillness and the ‘be’ help you throughout your day. In addition, you will discover the roller coaster of thoughts and emotions will start to diminish. When you free up your mind and heart, you will have more space to engage with what is unfolding around. You have less distractions and quickly discern what is available to support your everyday life. Finally, you will creating an inner calm that will help you reduce stress and anxiety on a daily basis.
Call to Action…If you are inspired to nourish your mind, body, heart and soul, take 10-15 minutes a day to just sit and do nothing in silence with the sun. Place your hands on your belly during this sit and breathe in the sun.
