“Wayfarer
Wayfarer,
Your whole mind and body have been tied
To the foot of the Divine Elephant
With a thousand golden chains. Now, begin to rain intelligence and compassion
Upon all your tender, wounded cells
And realize the profound absurdity
Of thinking
That you can ever go Anywhere
Or do Anything
Without God’s will.”
― Hafez, I Heard God Laughing: Poems of Hope and Joy

The remedy for the Spring emotion of anger is patience. The remedy for the Fall emotion of grief is joy.
The practice: practice patience and cultivating joy daily. If you do both in these seasons you will find it easier to retain harmony during these season and through out the year.
Expressing and processing the emotions of anger and grief is equally important. You can practice processing real time, simply have in place two methods of processing.
Method 1: Practice processing by yourself and working towards emotional regulations and retaining objective awareness. For example, going on a walk by yourself to work out the emotions with bi-lateral movement and/or writing in a journal.
Method 2:Have a trusted, objective friend/family member or a practitioner to help you process. If it is a friend or family member, ask them to actively listen without giving you advise. Just having someone listening and reflecting back what they heard you share is very helpful. OR book a session with me or another professional that has the skills and experience to help you process and integrate what is unfolding in and around you.
The Spring Cleanse is a very mild version of the traditional “Pancha Karma” cleanse and can be safely performed at home with minimal guidance. This particular cleanse is suitable for all body types as it can be modified to fit everybody’s individual needs. This cleanse consists of taking in a mono-diet of the classical Ayurvedic dishes, which will allow the digestive system to take a much-needed break, giving it new light and the ability to properly flush out toxins in the system.
